Waiting & Watching
“Watching and Waiting” is my homage to my heron friend from the Golden Gardens Pond last year. OK, maybe it was several heron friends, but it felt like just one. Many times during my Field Project visits last year I saw a heron slowing wading through the water’s edge in the dull winter grasses. I looked where they looked, we watched together. Their waiting was much more charged than mine. They wanted breakfast. I had already had mine. But for those moments we were in community nonetheless. I'm fascinated by the graceful and purposeful movements of these majestic birds, and by the ever shifting reflection on the water as the clouds shift from gray to slowing clearing sky.
I'm offering special Plantasia pricing on this special piece. Purchasing this piece will help fund upcoming plein air painting events for more time outside observing and creating!
