Coastal: Veiled Sunset
The rugged NW coast has many moods, from brilliant sun to softly obscuring fog and drizzle. The Coastal series explores the ever-changing light, color, and forms of the NW coasts. In my head, I call this Orange Slice... because that lingering glow just pops through the foggy cloud layer. Out load, I call this work Veiled Sunset, as I remember how the fog rolled in and dropped like a curtain or veil over the sunset. By either name, this glowing piece captures the fickle nature of the NW summers.
